First Baptist Church began in the home of Myrtle Everest in the 1950's. Slowly the church grew and relocated to the current campus at 1261 Main Street, in the building you see below. This building would serve as the sanctuary, then into the Christian School. In 2016, the building was relocated to Taylor Street, Weaverville, where it is used for medical provider housing for Trinity Hospital.
