Dick and Mavis Buck have just completed 41 years in church planting, 38 years of that in the foreign field.  They received their training at what is now Corban College in Salem, OR.  They have two grown daughters.  They are currently located in Salvador, Brazil, serving with Association of Baptists for World Evangelism.

The latest news from Dick & Mavis is both good and not-so-good.  They are rejoicing that daughter, Debbie, is engaged to be married.  In medical news, however, another basal cancer was found on Dick’s nose and partially removed.  Mavis’ biopsy came out negative.

God has shown them that their ministry in the area is to be at-large among the churches, at least for now.

Don and Erline Fountain serve with Baptist Mid-Missions (www.bmm.org) as missionaries to the Jewish community in Oceanside, California.

On November 1st last year, Don had a minor heart attack.  They are praising God that progress is being made.  The doctor has encouraged him to emphasize diet and exercise. Progress is being made.  Please pray for continued improvement.

They are also praising God that a woman has accepted the Lord Jesus as her Messiah and Savior.  And they ask for prayer regarding her spiritual growth.

Also pray for:

Mr. “M”, a Jewish friend, that he will be saved.

A Jewish acquaintance who continues to read Scripture with her neighbor.

Mr. & Mrs. “H” – Jewish contacts – to allow continued discussions of Scripture with them.

For Don and Erline as they go door-to-door and also for those witnessed to in the hospital.

Their son, Eric, is praying about his future and considering the International Board of Missions to the Jews.
